This isn’t really a raffle, it’s a handoff. Every prize here has scars. Every scuff, every crack, every worn corner has been there through the highs, the breakdowns, and the long nights searching for something real. You’re not winning shiny new toys. You’re stepping into a history — tools that built songs, bled stories, and caught whatever light there was in my darkest places. If you get one of these, it’s because you were meant to. Good luck.
This is the Ibanez Artcore AF75-JBB in Jet Blue Burst — a beautiful hollow body electric that was my main instrument for Cookie Rabinowitz shows from 2015 to 2020.
A few parts were upgraded to bring it up to Four Eye’d Soul standards: I replaced the nickel-plated tailpiece, the input jacks, and the tuners. It looks, plays, and sounds beautiful—warm, rich, and smooth, just like the music it helped me make.
This guitar was also front and center during one of my all-time favorite shows: WXPN’s Free at Noon concert, the very first one of 2019. That moment meant a lot to me—and this guitar carried the vibe all the way through.
I’m letting it go because the way I move through time and space these days only allows for one guitar—the one I can strap on my back and take anywhere. For me, that’s my trusty Mexican Strat.
This Ibanez deserves more than to sit on the sidelines. It’s got songs left in it. If you’ve got the soul, I hope it ends up in your hands.
This thing is beat to hell — and I mean that in the best way possible.
This Boss RC-20XL Loop Station was my daily songwriting companion for nearly 15 years. It’s how I stumbled into one of my favorite songs, “Life Is Dangerous,”—born from an impromptu loop that just hit right one day and became something bigger than the moment.
Before I was performing as Cookie Rabinowitz, I was out there under my real name—Julius Curcio—and this little red box had my back through all of it. It helped shape my solo performances, scored my first TV music placements, and traveled with me to out-of-town shows, including one of the most fun: Riverbend Festival in Tennessee.
It’s dirty, scarred, and full of soul. Every knob and scuff has a story behind it. It may be a little rough around the edges, but it still works—and it still inspires. There’s a lot of mojo left in this thing for someone who knows how to tap into it.
These days, I’m working with Boss’s latest beast—the RC-600—so once again, I gotta lighten my load and pass the torch (and loops) to someone else ready to create.
